Vodafone UK gives NHS workers free unlimited data for 30 days

From Monday 6 April, Vodafone UK is giving NHS workers who are existing customers 30 days free unlimited mobile data. Around 125,000 NHS staff will benefit from the upgrade.

Offering unlimited data to these key workers means they’ll be able to keep in touch with their loved ones as much as they want, but without the worry of running out of data or being charged extra.

The 30 days of free unlimited data could be extended depending on how the current situation evolves.

The launch follows on from Vodafone giving the same 30-day unlimited data offer to vulnerable customers as well as 500,000 Pay Monthly customers.

Nick Jeffery, CEO, Vodafone UK, said: “Last week, we said we would be monitoring the feasibility of opening this up to even more customers.

“So today, we are proactively upgrading all private customers who are registered with us as working for the NHS to this 30-day unlimited free data offer.”

NHS staff and vulnerable customers who are flagged as such on Vodafone’s systems will have unlimited data automatically applied to their accounts. For everyone else, the unlimited data offer can be redeemed through VeryMe in the My Vodafone app.
