Meet the new great value 5G Android devices taking on Apple’s iPhone

Deals include the brand new Google Pixel 4a 5G – pre-order now to claim premium Bose QC 35 II noise cancellation headphones for free.

The latest technology can often seem expensive and out of reach, but that doesn’t have to be the case. The latest big-name 5G Android smartphones, now available to pre-order from Vodafone UK, cost far less than you might think.

The new Google Pixel 4a 5G has the same top-notch camera as the more expensive Pixel 5. Its astrophotography mode can take photos of the night sky, a feat previously reserved for dedicated professional cameras.

As the Pixel 4a 5G is made by Google itself, it’s not only guaranteed to receive the latest Android software updates as soon as they’re available but will receive them for the next three years. As with previous Pixel phones, the Pixel 4a 5G has some built-in features unavailable on other Android phones such as the ability to transcribe recorded speech into text without using the cloud.

For a limited time, Vodafone UK customers can claim a free pair of Bose QC 35 II active noise cancellation headphones when they purchase the Google Pixel 4a 5G.

If you’re quick on your feet and purchase the Pixel 4a 5G from Vodafone before 18 November 2020, you can claim a pair of Bose QC 35 II headphones. Worth £300, the QC 35 II have active noise cancellation technology. This means they have circuitry that can filter out background noise, such as the rattle of a train carriage, so you can listen to music and podcasts without having to turn up the volume to potentially dangerous levels.

The new Samsung Galaxy A42 5G packs in a huge 5000mAh battery and 6.6in screen. Despite its expansive display, Samsung’s OneUI Android interface puts many onscreen controls within easy reach when you’re using this smartphone one-handed.

The Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite is a 5G phone with features more commonly found on much more expensive handsets. Its 6.67in screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz, so animations in games and scrolling through long webpages looks far smoother than it otherwise would. The front-facing camera can record time lapse selfie videos, while another mode allows you to record video from both the rear and front facing cameras simultaneously for creative shots.

If you purchase it from Vodafone before 12 November 2020 then you’ll get Xiaomi wireless earphones, worth £80, for free.

It also has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, one of the fastest currently available, so it can play graphically demanding games with ease.
