Vodafone wins ‘Best Network for Business’ at the 2023 Mobile News Awards

Vodafone has won Best Network for Business for its innovative V-Hub platform and its flexible Pulse Connect product.

Richard Maynard, Vodafone’s UK Head of Business Care, picked up the award at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel in London, during the Mobile News Awards ceremony in March 2023.

Vodafone Business UK has supported more than 770,000 small and medium-sized businesses through its free V-Hub platform, available to any UK business – whether or not they are a Vodafone customer. Any small business can speak to digital advisors, sign up to their learning portal, and browse tools and training, all of which supports their digital transformation.

Almost a quarter million SMEs have enhanced their digital skills thanks to Vodafone Business

Participating small businesses are now more able to take advantage of the many opportunities that new tools and technologies have to offer.

To enable small businesses to adapt to business and economic fluctuations, Vodafone launched Vodafone Pulse Connect, a converged mobile, connectivity, and cloud calling package. This enables business customers to add and remove users and tailor packages to suit their needs.

The Mobile News Awards judging panel remarked that this gave business customers “an impressive level of flexibility”.

V-Hub 'an amazing service for small businesses', say entrepreneurs

Three burgeoning entrepreneurs tell us what V-Hub has done for them, as Vodafone’s guidance service for small and medium-sized businesses marks its first anniversary.

Vodafone was also praised for its wide array of case studies endorsing the company’s innovative technology. For example, Kingston Council is combating fly-tipping, using Vodafone’s internet-of-things-enabled smart cameras that can catch perpetrators in the act. This has helped the Council reduce fly-tipping by 80% on average.

In another example, Vodafone has formed a strategic alliance with Deloitte to help NHS trusts adopt new digital technologies that could improve patient experiences and outcomes. The partnership, called Centre for Health, aims to make the dream of a fully connected healthcare system a reality.

Singer with no voice box performs magical Christmas carol thanks to Vodafone’s 5G

“I never thought I'd get to perform again in this way,” says singer Tanja Bage in first-of-its-kind 5G Christmas duet with Martine McCutcheon.

As well as the Best Network for Business award, Vodafone also won 5G User Case award at the Mobile News Awards 2023 for enabling a former theatre performer with a laryngectomy to sing a duet with her sister using an artificial talk box connected using the Vodafone 5G network.
